try mo advice ni vin yong malathion it also works but becareful in using it..

@jara - you can buy doggie's choice sa groceries and supermarkets. get the orange one coz its the medicated one used for mange. lori soap naman can be bought at agri-vet shops. baka meron dyan sa area nyo. ginagamit din kasi ata yun sa mga fighting cocks. sometimes meron din sa grocery.

my minipin had the worse mange when she was less than a year old. after all the madre de cacao and medicated shampoos, we resorted to injectables. we bring her to our vet every week for 9 weeks for ivermectin shots. thank god after nine weeks. she was fully recovered.

if your dog is female, the more you have to watch out for mange. it usually attacks them when their defenses are weak - when they are in heat, pregnant or after giving birth. better if you bring your paw friend to the vet so they can identify the type of mange. there are some kasi na nakakahawa din sa tao.

my minipin just gave birth last may and lately i saw some signs of mange showing. i brought her to our vet immediately and they gave her the shots again. we will be doing it for 4 weeks initially. if still need, then we extend to 6 weeks.

syempre, we still use the medicated soaps and shampoo. but it really is a matter of patience and tender loving care.

it took us around 5 months to finally see our minipin recover from the mange. like i said, lots of patience and tender loving care. there are times na gusto na namin mag give-up, as in umiiyak na ako so sobrang frustration. but then again, all our hardships paid off, especially when she gave birth to beautiful puppies. yun nga lang, medyo hirap sya sa second pregnancy nya which weakened her so much.

ung dog ko meh galis aso din. bumili ako ng dr kauffman soap ung yellow. 3 days after ko xa paliguan, now nung tinitigan ko kanina parang naglalangis na na parang meh slight na nana na or something ung sugat nya sa muka. almost half na ng muka nya meh sugat. until i found this site as i was searching for a more reliable source based dun sa mga previous posts. kakayanin pa kaya nung anti-mange na doggies choice ung case nya?saka san ba nakakabili nung VCO din? mahirap naman kasing dalhin xa sa vet kasi malaki na xa wala dn naman kaming sasakyan.

meron ako jack russell na nagkagalis.. kinuha ko sa nanay ko kc di nya napapagaling.. halos wala ng balahibo tapos ang pula ng katawan..

ang ginawa ko pinainom ko ng ivermectin. tapos every other day, dr. wong's sulfur soap sa pagligo, anti-fungal cream after maligo, tapos pinapahiran ko ng canola oil.. after almost 2 mos,, i wud say 90% recovered na cya.. )

@ocapogs: wala kasi akong mahanap na dr. wong's eh kaya ung dr. kauffman na yellow ung binili ko treatment for skin diseases or something kasi ung nakalagay eh. ok na ba un? ung anti-fungal cream anu un, like canesten? pwede na din ba un? grabe nalaki na tlaga ung sugat sa muka... mamaya nga ttry kong pumunta ng sm eh sana meh mahanap ako nung orange na doggie's choice na shampoo & sabon...

@ diyosa - lam mo the best dyan madala mo doggie mo sa vet para ma scrape at ma examine un mange.. baka may malapit dyan senyo kahit maglakad na lang kayo..

yung dr kauffman ok na rin siguro yun.. pero yun mga sabon sabon pahid pahid kasi, pangtulong lng yun at para d na nya kamutin masyado.. i think yung ivomec talaga ang papatay dyan sa mga galis na yan..

Hi ask ko lng po kung anong magandang soap pra sa aso na maraming maliliit na ticks? please need adcvice po super dami na kasi nung sa dog ko..

Try nyo po Doggies Choice Flea And TiCk Soap(Blue) or kaya Bayou/Bayo Pet Flea and Tick Soap.
Let it lather and let it stay in your dog for atleast 5 mins before rinse off. Usually i soap my dogs 2x. Plus clea your area din, disinfect if you must. Kasi ticks usually clings on plants and other areas in the house.

tinry ko pala ung maxiherb na soap kasi wala akong mahanap na doggie's choice sa pinuntahan ko. meh nakita din akong amitraz soap din. binili ko pareho. so far effective. natuyo na ung sugat nya. pero wala pa ding natubong balahibo. and 2x ko pa lang xa napapaliguan ng meh madre cacao. nakalbo na kasi ung puno samin eh hahaha!!!

hello! thank God nahanap ko tong site n toh. my chow chow barney has mange. naaawa ako kc kamot sya ng kamot. wala pa naman sa body nia pero sa ears, feet niya meron na. we brought him immediately sa vet and may injection na binigay then binigyan ng soap with VCO and amitraz. sarcoptic mange daw po. once pa lang nagamit afetr taking a bath yesterday pero pansin ko lalo nangati c barney ko. One day na pero kamot pa din ng kamot worst than before. ganun po ba talaga effect nun?now pa lang kc ako nagka dog kase before super takot ako pero napamahal nko sa pup ko. bumili na din ako doggies choice pero 3mons pa pde gamitin eh sa sept pa mag 3mons chow ko. huhuhuhu. natatakot ako kse super love ko pup namin and yoko sya makalbo. help naman please! im thinking of going to quaipo to buy madre de cacao apply ko topical.

I have a lhasa apso... na may galis... I need help... naiiyak na ako..... what should i do?

@Dim: initially i think best if you use doggies' choice Anti-mange soap or shampoo. use warm water para mas mabilis mag-open pores ng lhasa apso mo then use doggies' soap/shampoo (yung color orange). let it stay for 5 to 10 minutes para mag-absorb ng mabuti, then wash off, bathe your dog thrice a week siguro and makikita mo yung effect, siguro in a week time lang. been doing this for more than 4 years na and it never fails. May sulfur din yung doggies' choice anti-mange kaya magaling talaga siya for skin problems ng dogs. as per vet ko, sarcoptes or demodex, malaki tulong ng doggies' choice anti-mange.

i purchase my doggies' choice sa vet ko in bulk, pero i always see na available din siya sa mercury drug, sm supermarket, puregold supermarket and robinsons.
